Mother's Best Caldereta

Cooking time: 1 hour 10 min Servings: 10

Ingredients:

  • Mother's Best Caldereta Mix – 1 pouch

  • Beef brisket (cubed) – 1 kg (approx. 2.20 lb.)

  • Potatoes (cubed or quartered) – 1 cup

  • Carrots (cubed) – 1 cup

  • Green peas – 1/2 cup

  • Red bell pepper - 1 piece (diced)

  • Green olives (pitted, optional) – 3/4 cup

  • Water – 2 cups

  • Cooking oil – 3 tbsp.

Procedure:

  1. Pan fry the meat in cooking oil until golden brown.

  2. Add the water, bring to a boil, lower the heat and simmer until the meat is tender.

  3. Add more water if needed.

  4. Stir in Mother's Best Caldereta Mix and add the potatoes and carrots, simmer for 10 minutes.

  5. Lastly, add the remaining vegetables and cook until done.

*Other substitutes to beef caldereta: lamb, goat, chicken or pork.
